About this module

This course is not currently available to people studying independently. It is designed to help institutions that deliver professional military education around the world to include military ethics as part of their curriculum. It offers a 20-part broad introduction to many aspects of military ethics. Each section is supported with online reading and videos from the University of New South Wales and King’s College London, and there are classroom guides to help tutors facilitate discussions and get the most out of the material. Module teachers

Dr David Whetham

Dr David Whetham is Professor of Ethics and the Military Profession at King’s College London, based at the Joint Services Command and Staff College at the UK Defence Academy. He is also the Director of the King’s Centre for Military Ethics.

Deane-Peter Baker

Dr Deane-Peter Baker is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at UNSW Canberra (at the Australian Defence Force Academy), where he is also a researcher in the Australian Centre for the Study of Armed Conflict and Society.
